Hi, I’m Simon, founder of Wheel Business.

I’ve spent over 25 years in the automotive refinishing industry, and unlike many mobile alloy wheel repairers, I didn’t start out repairing wheels. I’m a professionally trained automotive paint sprayer and refinisher with decades of experience working in bodyshops, accident repair centres and specialist paint facilities.

Throughout my career I’ve worked as a Paint Sprayer, Head Painter, Senior Paint Technician, Deputy Workshop Manager and now business owner. Every role has helped build the skills, knowledge and attention to detail that I bring to every wheel I refurbish.

For me, alloy wheel refurbishment isn’t just about making a wheel look better. It’s about understanding paint systems, surface preparation, colour matching, lacquer finishes and achieving a factory-quality finish that lasts. The preparation is just as important as the final coat, and it’s the part that many people never see—but it’s what makes all the difference.

I take enormous pride in my workmanship because every repair carries my name. Whether I’m repairing kerb damage, refurbishing painted wheels or restoring diamond cut alloys, I treat every vehicle as if it were my own. No shortcuts. No rushed jobs. Just quality workmanship carried out to the highest standard.

My experience also means I can recognise issues that less experienced repairers may overlook, advise customers honestly and recommend the best solution for their wheels, even if that isn’t the quickest option.
